Fenugreek
(trigonella foenum-graecum L., hilba, Helbe, camel grass) is an annual plant in
the family Fabaceae. Helba grows in the southeastern Europe, India, Argentina,
Egypt, France and Morocco. Have a nice spicy, slightly bitter taste and a
specific, having no analogue smell.
Bioactive constituents
Helba contains
mucilage, volatile oils, and alkaloids (choline and trigonelline),
polysaccharide galactomannan, saponins, yamogenin, gitogenin, tigogenin and
neotigogens.
Antidiabetic effects
Ameliorate most

Medical uses
Helba contains
phytoestrogens and is used as treatment in diseases related to the female
hormone disorders, for painful menstruation. Helba seeds oil strengthens the immune system, used in colds
